Works is willing to work hard to get it there

The reason I'm giving it to the stars is because it didn't work right out of the box. I had to disassemble it and spend a lot of time fitting it into the oil pump groove on a Chevy 350.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Working but poor quality tool

As mentioned several times, the shaft wobbled during use. The "centering cap" sits leaking on the contact surface of the intake manifold. The shaft should be an inch longer. Conclusion: It worked.

  • New

Should have! Fits Aftermarket

If you are building a GM small block engine, this tool is a must. Before starting the engine, this tool, together with the drill motor, fills the entire oil system. With any new engine, it is extremely important to ensure that everything is filled with oil BEFORE starting it for the first time. I don't know anyone who would want to spend a lot of money on a new engine and then start it up and run it without oil for a few seconds. Even if you don't build engines often, it's worth having this…

Basically risky one use tool

Used on a Small Block Chevy 350. Product seemed to fit. There was a problem understanding it directly. It wobbled a lot when in use as if the rod wasn't straight. After filling the engine and fearing I had messed something up, removing the tool from the engine was a headache. It didn't slip and appeared to be stuck in the oil pump rod. Overall I think the fit and finish was wrong. But if you're trying to replace a camshaft or topping up an engine on a shoestring budget, this tool isn't so bad…

  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Useless features

Situation normal "Chinese syndrome "

Well I knocked out the roll pin and thinned the metric blade to a thickness comparable to a Chevy countershaft. Now it fits small block or big block Chevy engines! Misleading and erroneous claims by these companies have become the norm. What are the options? Send back to China? I made a filler tube, but I settled on one that directs the oil into the main gallery with extra volume. An aluminum bushing mimicking the distributor shaft can route the oil the same way as the distributor does, but who
