The strap at the waist is adjustable but the neck is not. So if your dog has a big head, you may need a larger size. My dog's neck is 7 inches. The chart says XS is 7.8 inches which should have fit my dog but was too small to fit her small head. This is a 3.8 pound Chihuahua with a small apple on his head and neck. What I don't understand is why the original Puppia mesh harness fits her so well and the charts say the size XS is 7.5 inches.
