They work well but after a month of wearing they don't look as good as they did at first. The photo shows that the inside of the collar looks normal, but the white dots are no longer visible on the outside and the fabric is viscous. They're all like that. But the overall durability of the collar is still good!

The collars appear to be quite durable and the colors are very vivid. They are larger than I expected but they would suit anything from a kitten (very large) to a medium sized dog I would say. Will update review to see if there is a shed but so far they seem great. For our indoor and outdoor cats, the safety release mechanism is strong enough not to fall off when pressed lightly, yet sensitive enough for emergencies.

Our newborn babies (10 weeks old) look SO adorable in their new polka dot tear collar. It took them a few minutes to figure out where the ringing was coming from! Now that they're walking around the house, I know where they are. I was afraid they might be a bit small (I'm a size S) but they were actually quite large, luckily the collars pulled together easily so they fit perfectly and had plenty of room to grow.

The zipper definitely works! I bought this collar along with an RF sensor for my indoor outdoor cat. On one of the first nights she let them roam free, she came back without a collar. I used a tracker to locate the collar and it came loose in a rose bush where the collar was obviously stuck to a vine. I'm glad I have them! They are very cute and the bell is very easy to remove.

I bought this set of 6 for my three cats because they kill chipmunks and I thought bell collars would help. I've read other reviews that said these particular "tear-off collars" lasted and worked well. This was NOT my experience. Within a week of giving one to each of my three cats, they all came off somewhere on our property and got lost. So I put a second collar on each cat and soon they too were lost. So within two weeks all 6 collars were gone. A complete waste of money.
