I copied this review because I have the exact same problem. When I use the short HDTV HDMI cable in the box it works. One day I change it to 15 feet to get to the wall and follow the table. They are very good because you don't have to reach under the desk to connect computers and phones. The only downside is that the ribs that the locking ring is threaded onto will not fit in the 3" hole. it's 5 stars.

I ordered black but it is not the same shape as in the picture. It was a uniform like the other colors, not black. The size and function of the fastening correspond to those declared.

Although this device does not have an Ethernet port on the back of the container, only an HDMI port, the box can be easily connected with 2 screws opened and the cable is replaced with a length cable of your choice. Otherwise, it's the perfect look and fit.
