Burned out after 2 months. waste of money.

The device worked for 2 months and then just stopped. When I reached back to make sure the ports and fuse weren't the problem, the back of the unit was very hot. The electrician said the device completely burned out and never worked again. I called the manufacturer for a warranty replacement and I need to return the defective unit at my own expense and give them full authorization to charge my credit card. No thank you.

Didn't turn on in marine radios

I bought this new receiver for our pontoon thanks to Bluetooth. I connected power and ground but didn't turn anything on. No LED clock, no LEDs at all. I checked the input power and measured 12VDC +/- between the YELLOW and BLACK wires. I sent it back and asked for a replacement. I received the replacement device today and also connected it. Power and ground double checked if everything is ok. It was. Plugged the wiring harness in the back and again NOTHING! This time I thought I was doing…

Good price but bluetooth is useless.

The mounting insert is a flimsy piece of crap. Jerry had to position it so that he was actually holding the radio. I bought it mainly because of the bluetooth which worked for exactly 10 seconds and never again. FM radio also works well with a cheap surface mount antenna. I have no confidence in the waterproofness of this device. A cheap foil tape, already peeled off the box, was used to close it. I sound totally negative though, and it's not that bad. Once you've done everything you need to do

Quality control really lacks quality. and control.

Two of these have passed in less than 3 months. The first one worked great until I crossed a medium sized trail. As we went through this, I noticed that no sound came out. The internal amplifier must be short-circuited. The fuse was ok, the radio was still on, it was receiving a bluetooth signal from the phone, there was just no sound. Scroll through AM/FM, nothing. Don't worry, now I know I need to cross the tracks in peace. Everything was fine until then, so I bought another one. It had a…

Easy to install and very user friendly

The PYLE radio has been on my boat for 10 years. I choose the non-CD model due to the rough water conditions I typically find myself in. The last Pyle radio I had lasted 10 years and actually still works. I replaced it with a BT model so I don't have to constantly mess with cords trying to play music from my phone while driving the boat. Haven't used this new radio much yet but so far it's perfect. The BT connection was very easy to use, just scroll down to BT and it will pair with your phone…

Great marine receiver! Excellent quality - highly recommended!

Replaced a 10 year old JVC in my Chaparral deck boat with this unit. I was looking for something Bluetooth enabled (to pair my iPhone 7 to play music and make/take calls) and didn't need the CD. The specs were just what I needed. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about buying this unit and not overly expensive big brands (Sony/Kenwood etc) but for the price and based on other positive reviews I agreed. Let me just say - I am very impressed and very happy with my purchase! The quality is…

Time will tell if it's rubbish or not.

As others have pointed out, this is a very lightweight unit, but that's probably because electronics don't claim a full DIN these days, especially without a CD player. There's no cover for the SD card slot, so I'm very confused by Pyle's decision to include a rubber cover for the AUX-in jack, plus five more in case you lose them. So they decided to close the tiny hole but leave a huge gap for water to get in? Designers, come on. Anyway, I needed something that worked, and it does. for now…

Don't trust these 1 star people!

Look this is a $35 stereo, that's REALLY ALL you need to know but I'm going to flesh it out a bit. So for $35, it's a bonus that it even works, not to mention all those features! Yes, the body is plastic and it's VERY light, but I think it costs at least $35 to make plastic, and hey, you even get a box, 2 wiring harnesses, and some instructions in a zip-top envelope. how to win it You know! NOT for $35 or even $50! Have you ever bought a $100 phone case? Go ahead, for $35 you get Bluetooth, an…
