The device worked for 2 months and then just stopped. When I reached back to make sure the ports and fuse weren't the problem, the back of the unit was very hot. The electrician said the device completely burned out and never worked again. I called the manufacturer for a warranty replacement and I need to return the defective unit at my own expense and give them full authorization to charge my credit card. No thank you.

I bought this new receiver for our pontoon thanks to Bluetooth. I connected power and ground but didn't turn anything on. No LED clock, no LEDs at all. I checked the input power and measured 12VDC +/- between the YELLOW and BLACK wires. I sent it back and asked for a replacement. I received the replacement device today and also connected it. The mounting insert is a flimsy piece of crap. Jerry had to position it so that he was actually holding the radio. I bought it mainly because of the bluetooth which worked for exactly 10 seconds and never again. FM radio also works well with a cheap surface mount antenna. Two of these have passed in less than 3 months. The first one worked great until I crossed a medium sized trail. As we went through this, I noticed that no sound came out. As others have pointed out, this is a very lightweight unit, but that's probably because electronics don't claim a full DIN these days, especially without a CD player. There's no cover for the SD card slot, so I'm very confused by Pyle's decision to include a rubber cover for the AUX-in jack, plus five more in case you lose them.
