Not as described

Not as described. I did not receive the color caps as per the description ordered because I wanted the set to match my existing set which was a 100 year limited edition. Very disappointed as I feel I paid a premium by trusting the website description and that is not what I got.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Expensive

A great addition to the kitchen

I was looking for a glass mixing bowl and I came across this. The sizes are amazing - the large ones are perfect for mixing up large dinners - the small ones are best for leftovers. They are so easy to care for that I immediately throw away my plastic utensils. The lids snap securely into place, but require some work the first few times. The style is cool, I even used the bowl to serve sweets on the table.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Periodicity

Stained glass

Same size and feel as previous version. It doesn't seem cheaper or less durable. However, it has a very strong turquoise tint that makes it look like cheaper glass and makes food coloring difficult to judge when you need to see subtle color differences, especially things like oils. on the left and a new turquoise set on the right. And yes, this is not a set of 100 years.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Base required

This is the perfect storage bowl set

The largest bowl is the one you'll use again and again for family salad gatherings; green salad, potato salad or large pasta salad. The smallest bowl is perfect for leftover roasts or sauces. Why? Because it's Pyrex. Reheat in the oven or in the microwave. Ideal! I had a set of 3 cups. So now I have 2 of each of the smaller sizes and this large bowl. I like it. They stack for neat storage and the lids fold neatly.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Reliability

Beautiful and Made in the USA

These bowls are beautiful. Sounds corny, but gives a good feeling that something this beautiful, practical and economical is still made in the USA. Anyone complaining that these shells are green should have their eyes checked first, then reach out and grab with both hands. Thick glass bowls as described. Get over it. Would you like clear glass? Buy cheap junk that will break if you sneeze on it. But these are still possible.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • No Instructions

The ribbed surface of the glass is easy to hold

My best friend wanted these bowls for her birthday so I bought them for her. She loves that the ribbed scales make them easy to hold. BUYERS ATTENTION, the color of the lids is different from the 100th Anniversary models being shown at Revain for $50. There is another $40 set on Revain that is exactly the same except they are not listed as an anniversary and the color of the lids are different from what my friend got. My boyfriend didn't care and for $10 it wasn't worth messing with Revane.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Easy to maintain
