Not bad for the money, but not perfect

Pros: - Great value for the quantity you get - Includes a fairly sturdy tool Cons: - Cardboard arrived mostly messy. Basically all I had to do was turn it over and fix it - The box was covered in that greasy, sticky substance that is sometimes found in rubber cases - The tool provided is a student tool, but not exactly. There are some issues with crimping the terminal around the wire. Mine at least clamped the "long end" of the terminal; I had to repair them all afterwards with ordinary pliers.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Nice to have Hand tools

I'm glad it's there. I often have to assemble wire harnesses for custom orders. I usually go fishing trying to find plugs and sockets, matching them up and then finding suitable and professional looking ways to cover them appropriately to prevent the weather and short circuits. Also, I usually crimp them with needle nose pliers and this sometimes made me doubt the stability of the connection OR worse, I broke the stupid crimp and had to solder it. NOW. I can confidently create bonds with stable

Eh There are certainly better

well, first of all it seems to be built quite solidly. I don't expect this tool to break any time soon. That said, it doesn't seem to work that well. Half the time with a medium crimp one of the tabs won't bend like it should and with the smallest crimp I've yet to get a good crimp. I have to go back and do it all over again just to get it to work at all, which of course is disappointing because I bought it for the clean and professional looking crimps it advertises. I just use heat shrink…

Read and be warned.

I don't usually write reviews unless the product is superior and superior or it's absolutely horrible. In this case, it's a terrifying sight. Crimps are cheap material and wiring doesn't hold up well. I've read similar reviews but figured I'm just building an arcade machine, this product should work for what I need. I couldn't be more wrong. For example, if you have 5 wires and need 5 connectors, you have to go through 12 connectors, 7 of which will loosen or break before some of them will…

Don't buy for crimping smaller wires

I don't know if it's a crimping tool or a kit with connectors but this kit won't work for smaller wires. I tried connecting the connectors to 22AWG wire and it was a terrible experience. The terminals they give you are too big to fit in the smallest part of the crimping tool, which is just stupid. You should use pliers to gently squeeze the wings to fit the tool. And even after you put it in the tool, there's an 80% chance it'll just ruin the connector and not make a proper crimp. And even when

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I'll write later

Although the crimping tool uses 16 gram wire and large spade lugs to make seemingly solid crimps, they can be pulled out quite easily, especially if you bend the crimp area all. when sliding over the male connector. I think it's because the connectors are very thin and malleable. The metal just doesn't have the tensile strength to hold the wires very well, although the crimp worked fine. I wouldn't trust that in an automotive environment, so resort to tinning the wires and then soldering them…

Pros
  • Still happy with it so far
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Handy set but poor quality

I tried it on a 16ga wire cut first and it worked great, I was very impressed. Then I started working on a 22ga cable that needed 3.5mm plugs for some turn signals for my motorcycle. It's nice that it does everything in one step, but it wasn't tight enough to hold really well, so I used a different crimping tool to get good connections. I then switched to the smallest flat plugs. The tool just rubbed them. After several attempts, I simply gave up and switched back to circular connectors. In the

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some little things

The crimping tool included in this set works reasonably well and appears to be of functional quality (I say unbranded to back it up Compare with). However, the plugs with this set are quite cheap. I have used them successfully and they have worked well enough for what I do with them which is replacing turn signals and other wiring connectors on motorcycles. The 4mm connectors in this kit are compatible with the connectors used in most OEM and aftermarket turn signal assemblies. The plugs don't…
