We have a new fiber optic system that requires a switch to be connected to Cat5e, which creates an extra port when fiber optic connection is required.

Easy setup in network transceivers

I have never used fiber for my network. I tried it and am very satisfied. It was easy to set up, connect and use right out of the box. Very easy. Works as promised. Excellent price.

This is a very easy to use device. Plug it in and you're good to go. Please note that you need a suitable fiber optic cable and two GBIC adapters (if you have the SFP version) to use it. I have the SFP version and it comes with an adapter. My switch already had a GBIC adapter and some fiber optic cables. I connected the cables, turned it on and disconnected from the network.
