Tarnished Quality; Poor Performance

Industrial and Scientific fittings should be reliable, but this one didn't cut it. Through trial and error, I found that the fittings were poorly machined and leaked under pressure. It's disappointing to receive an item touted as a stainless steel connector that fails so easily.

Pros
  • None.
Cons
  • Poor quality, leaks under pressure.

There is no "flat " on the outside diameter for a wrench bite.

Standard 1/2" NTP female threads on both ends therefore thread sealing tape is required . Without a machined "flat" on the OD, a pipe wrench must be used and care taken not to scratch the surface. Goes well with brushed nickel finish.

Pros
  • Type: 3/4" female x 3/4" female approx. 1.4" long (exactly 36mm)
Cons
  • Not sure

1/4 " = 1/2 "?: Fittings

Who measured them and why put a mark of 1/4 inch when the inside diameter is 1/2 inch? I've worked with pipe, tubing, and threaded rod for years and have never heard, seen, or consulted a chart that tells you it's one size and then says, no, lying, it's actually that size. Do everyone on this planet a favor and include the actual ID that matches the thread in the product description. Now I've lost $11 and wasted a lot of time hoping that once the part arrives I'll be able to continue working on

Pros
  • Coupling Material: Made of 304 stainless steel for strength (brass is too brittle and will break with use) which can be mated with copper, brass, plastic, aluminum. , and welded steel
Cons
  • Long delivery
