This product is a complete waste of money. As a reptile owner, I have tried numerous pet supplies for my terrarium without any issues. However, this one was a disaster. The hinge is flimsy making it difficult to open AND close properly. It also lets in way too much light, which can harm my reptiles health .Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I would not recommend this product to anyone. Save your money and invest in a better terrarium cover..

This cover is durable and true to size. My only change would be to make the door a third of an inch wider as it would fit an Aqueon pump (cheap, regular and almost the smallest) pump if it was only a quarter of an inch wider. I assume you're thinking of reptiles and small mammals, but I use it for aquatic turtles and don't want a tight lid. I want them to have good airflow and the lighting flexibility (and slight splash guard) I get with the shield. Somehow I got it on a squint. but doesn't…
