Simplicity makes it reliable

Standard 3.5mm 3 wire right angle headphone splitter - fairly simple, no frills but fewer bugs too. Devices with built in volume tend to be quieter and static in the volume control/slider, or just stop working. it doesn't have it, so I expect it to take a while.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • New competition is here

Race Day Splitter - Don't Worry

The jacks did not fit properly and could not be fully aligned with the headset jacks without losing most of the available volume. We hardly heard the broadcast as the full volume was very weak. I bought another splitter with a built-in amplifier and I like it much better. I'll probably ditch the Race Day Divider.

Pros
  • Great Overall Performance
Cons
  • Lots of Stuff

Did what we needed: Satellite TV gear

We went to a NASCAR race and bought 2 headphones and a scanner to listen to the driver and crew. As advertised, we were able to connect both headphones to the scanner so we could both listen. One thing I had to figure out was that when two headphones are plugged in, the volume in both headphones decreases. I wasn't surprised when it happened, but I hadn't thought about it before. Just remember that using just one earbud that is already loud will be louder than splitting it in two.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Broken X 2 Best in Audio & Visual Accessories

Tried two of these - first one didn't work and Revain replaced it. The second didn't work either. I've tried several headphones (including Race Day's) and NONE worked when fully plugged in. You could only get it to work by inserting the plug halfway into the socket and holding it there very gently. Turning it on completely muted the sound. Now I'm sending it back for a refund.

Pros
  • Nascar style headset with sound quality control
Cons
  • It's fine

Possibly defective?: AV accessory

I had some difficulties using it with a scanner and another headset. Both headsets do not work at the same time. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe it was operator error, but how difficult is it to connect one end to the scanner and two headsets to the detachable part? By unplugging one headset after clicking, I was able to get it working in one ear on both headsets. I hope that the new splitter solves the problem.

Pros
  • 10 inch cable
Cons
  • No power

Has what we needed: Accessories and supplies

We went to a NASCAR race and bought 2 headphones and a scanner to eavesdrop on the driver and crew talks.

Pros
  • Two-way Y-splitter allows 2 headphones to be connected to 1 scanner or audio device
Cons
  • Reliability
