This net is thick and well built, but if you need it to pass a real safety check you should have guessed it wouldn't cost $15. lol

Probably fake mesh. As mentioned in at least one other review, it was not SFI marked and likely not SFI rated. One day is required for our racing series (Lucky Dog). We got away with it once but had to replace the mesh. the return window closed; So I'm stuck with this. At least it was cheap. Wrote the seller, no reply. Buyer Warning. Spend a little more, ideally elsewhere, and get the SFI network you need.
