Racor PLM 1R Multi Rack Review

This is a wooden post with good base. In and of itself it's not very well done. Pros: cheap to install. Disadvantages: New screws have to be bought. I bought 4 5/16" x 3" zinc plated screws for $3. Sold as seen - no guarantee! The instructions say it is sold as is, the company will not help you. If I had known that, I would not have bought it. The metal is weak. Complaints from others about poles pointing/tilted the wrong way can only be attributed to incorrect assembly (which only takes a few minutes). Would have given 5 stars but each had two pre-drilled mounting holes and the included hardware couldn't support half the rated weight. Since my office is very small, I've always had trouble knowing where to keep my drawings. These shelves solved my problem. I bought two sets and arranged them as in the picture. Assembly and installation was easy using some SnapSkru self-drilling drywall anchors. Disappointed overall. While the quality and strength are decent, these shelves have a "handmade" feel, in other words the mounting brackets are offset to allow them to be screwed to the wall. Both brackets are right-handed, which means that when you mount them on a 16" or 24" rack, both arms are offset to the right and have little or no snagging on standard 4' or 8' wood. It would be much better if you had a left hand and a right hand so you could specify an inward offset. Some of the reviews…

They were just perfect for organizing and removing a pile of recycled wood from the garage floor. I have ordered several sets. They are strong and hold up great (attached to cleats)! The best part is that I was able to position them to run between the garage door and the wall. The brackets extend beyond the door track, but the door still has room to open.
