great knife set!

I have to say we are VERY happy and satisfied with these American made knives! You are sharp. They are lightweight but durable. We have been looking for high-quality knives for a long time and finally found Rada cutlery! I've read the reviews and still don't understand why some people say there is rust etc. We use them to clean knives. dry them immediately. So no problem. Sometimes you need to change the way you wash cutlery. change is good.

Excellent knives for such a price

I've had these knives for a long time and I really like them. Very good knives for the price. I read some bad reviews before I bought them saying they were flimsy and warped. I've used them on steaks, pork chops and chicken and I haven't even bent them. Whoever seduced her into meat should probably not digest it. They're flimsy, but for what they cost I think they're totally worth it. I definitely recommend them.

Made in America - American Value

I've been using Rada cutlery since I bought it from my son's charity. Now he is 42 years old! I replaced some paring knives and kept saying I needed a set of their steak knives so when I saw them I had to order them too. FYI - their potato peeler is awesome too. I've received cutlery from other brands as gifts and such but have never been happier with another brand at a different price. In addition, the knives are 100% made in America and a company from Iowa.

  • Brilliantly Made

Get black pens, not silver

I didn't like the feel of these pens on nails and skin. Because of the way the metal is cut, it feels like some fine sandpaper to me. Also, knives with silver handles cannot be washed in the dishwasher, while knives with black handles can be washed in the dishwasher. Since the blades are of good quality, I gave away the silver grip knives for Christmas and bought the black grip knives. Black pens don't have the annoying texture that silver pens have.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

I got my first set 20 years ago from a nice elderly lady who worked in a canteen kitchen for many years Has. These knives stay sharp for 20 years without sharpening! I've kind of lost a few over the years and have been trying to buy some lately. They are packaged and made exactly as I got them 20 years ago, thank goodness. We like to use them as steak knives. well balanced. loved by everyone. They are straightforward in design and materials and therefore complement every tableware that we use.

  • Great for me

Don't buy the silver version unless.

Attention! Different metals! Galvanic corrosion occurred when I left them in the sink (partially exposed in a plate), soaked them in water and left them overnight. Great blades but the handles feel and look terrible. However, if they are washed and dried immediately, they should not corrode. I can't recommend the "silver" version just because it happened. While my actions caused corrosion (I should have known better), the company had to make the knives entirely from stainless steel to avoid the

I bought all metal knives as a gift

These knives are sharp and feel good, but my daughter didn't realize they aren't dishwasher safe. The pens turned a dark gray color and slipped off hands during use. I called RADA and spoke to a very nice lady who said that metal handle knives do not respond well to dish soap and discoloration can be removed with Bar Keepers Friend. Well, something like that. The pens are still discolored after a long cleaning, but at least they don't come loose from your hand. I have several RADA knives with…

Extremely fragile finish.

Ten months ago I bought a set with a silver handle and have already ruined several knives. One accidentally went in the dishwasher, which they were specifically not supposed to do, so it was my fault. The cycle only came off the coating to a matte dark gray. But I've found that if the knives aren't carefully placed on the counter and hand washed before they fall into the sink or sit there for a while, the same thing will happen to the finish. I've never seen anything like it. I don't use them…

Excellent knives in cutlery and knife accessories

My mother in law gave us a set of these knives many years ago. They are as sharp today as they were then. I had to take another set. I use them when I cook food. The length is perfect for cleaning. I put them in the dishwasher and they discolored. When I got the new ones I decided to hand wash them. I wanted my others to match these so I searched the internet and found Mother Mag & Aluminum Polish. Walmart sells it. I took the time to polish the grips on my old ones. The dullness was gone…
