Amazing Geiger Counter

Reads Alpha Beta and Gamma Radiation. comes with rechargeable batteries and a micro USB port, but the wall adapter is designed for European sockets, so keep that in mind if you decide to buy one.

Beginner, Beginner, Intermediate - YOU CAN'T MISS -

Far superior to all cheap Chinese junk. The accuracy is amazing and very fast. "RadiaScan 701a" really works! It shows a great display (AND), it shows both analogue and digital. No, it doesn't use an analog meter, but rather an indicator bar that gradually lights up as the reading increases and also displays the power numerically. In many cases this is even better. It costs extra money.

As sensitive/accurate as counters that cost three times the price

This is amazing, especially for the price. It's far better than anything I've seen in this price range in both build quality and sensitivity/accuracy. In addition to being extremely durable, the device is configured in such a way that the GM tube really cannot be damaged. The only thing I noticed is the plastic cover on the part that should only block alpha and let beta/gamma through, but it's too thick and blocks a lot of soft beta. However, this is a minor nitpick and I will not be de-ranking

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Not automatic
