Radioddity External Universal Portable Compatible Review

Nice little speaker in general, good mount, I like the size and shape. Fits my CB and SWR meter in length and width. The sound quality is ok, I bought this speaker because the built in speaker on my CB is under the unit like most if not all mobile CBs. I wanted something with direct sound for myself and this speaker does the job perfectly.

I installed my Icom ID-5100 remote under my seat which has the speaker in the radio housing. So to hear it, I had to turn up the volume so I could hear it in the car. This speaker did a great job. It fits snugly in the space under my AC control boxes in my VW, along with my accessory extension. The sound is good for a vocal accent. I was very pleased. You can't go wrong with this great value little speaker!

Very simple, very adequate speaker. I have two, one for the Icom 5100 and one for the Yaesu 891. The Icom (VHF/UHF) worked so well with it that when I installed the HF I had to buy another one. Using the screws provided, I attached them both to the transmission tab and both are very audible. They're small enough to fit well in tight spaces, but have great sound. This is a great little speaker. I use it for radio amateurs in the car. The only downside is that the built-in cable is a bit short; It would have been nice to have had it a few feet longer for better placement and cable management options. In a smaller vehicle, this is probably enough for most people. If you have a mid to large sized sedan, SUV or truck, check if the cable is long enough.
