Works great: Hair care

Slightly darker than light brown and less reddish. But darkness fades faster than henna, so it needs to be done more often to keep it dark. I usually mix them together and sometimes add a copper color. You can get quite a bit of paint work out of a small tub. I noticed I had a slight reaction to the darker color when applied to my skin. It also colors the skin more than light tones. I tend to use this for my roots rather than my entire head. Make it more natural.

Go Light Hair Dye

I'm allergic to almost all hair dye so I henna it. The process sucks. The thick, smelly mud is almost impossible to get through my thick hair. Then I leave it for two hours. It will be hard and crispy. Tip: Mist your hair with water every now and then as you go through this hell. Otherwise it dries like cement and you risk pulling out a few hairs. But the color is good and covers my gray hair. Medium Brown - DARK. Not at first, but after a few uses it really sticks. I switched to light brown…

Go to Henna YouTube tutorials first

Rainbow henna is the best way to dye your hair. I never have to worry about toasting my hair with it. It will always be soft and beautiful. But I would advise you to go to YouTube first. Henna coloring is a process. There are tons of great tips and tricks to make this process easier. I mix henna with egg white for softness because my hair is coarse, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar to keep the color better on the grays and hot water to fully activate the henna. Once cool, pour into a disposable…

I liked this product: Henna

I loved this product! My first experience with henna brought exactly the result I was hoping for. I have medium mousy brown natural unprocessed hair and bought the Medium Brown shade. After an hour of henna treatment, the color turned to a rich mahogany color. The app was smelly but not very dirty. I bought the right shampoo and conditioner so I'm hoping this lasts for a while.

My hair saved! - Hair care

Gray hair is part of aging, but not something we have to live with. I started coloring my hair when I was 30 but my hair hated it! By the time I was 40, it was a dry, curly mess that broke down faster than it grew. I figured my choice would be bald or grey, I didn't like either. A friend from another country suggested henna. I did a little research and found rainbow henna. I knew I didn't need the additives in some foods. It's been about a year and a half and my hair looks amazing! I love it…

Covers gray hair, makes hair softer and fuller

I've been using it for a few years now. I have thin brown hair that has started to turn gray. Mixing hot tea, henna, some apple cider vinegar to cover the grays and coconut oil as a conditioner, then heating for 45 minutes and then leaving for an hour or two gives me full gray coverage throughout and a richer but natural color. Brown looking hair with red highlights and also softer/healthier. The only catch is that if I cover all my hair, not just the roots (which is a bit tricky as I have…

Nothing but smelly noodles.

First of all I have dark brown hair. This henna smelled AMAZING. I mean it smells like a dead animal crawling into a bin after bathing in boiled spinach. I could have just held my breath and dealt with it but the product didn't even work. I have totally unprocessed hair, the height I have now has never been colored or anything like that and although I followed the directions exactly it didn't color my hair except it gave it a greenish tint which thankfully only lasted a day but apart from the…

Henna covers gray hair well

Covers gray hair perfectly, doesn't give hair a "dyed" look. I use coffee and vinegar and leave it on for 45 minutes with the heated lid closed. I've been using it for 8 months now and I love it. Post before and after:

  • Excellent price
