RAM just builds everything like a rock. This suction cup mount is a serious piece of kit and I would trust it to my iPad with no problem, just make sure the surface you're sticking to isn't porous. I have RAM mounts that mount phones on my bike, two motorbikes, my truck, 3 seats in my big boat and also in my two small boats. I even use RAM connectors with magnets to hold the doors open. This is great stuff.

It does not fall off even at a temperature above 100 degrees. The RAM mounting system is very versatile for housing cell phones and other electronics. I also use it to mount a reversing camera. These are high quality products that work for their intended purpose, which is becoming increasingly rare. Highly recommended!

I cleaned my windshield thoroughly before using this mount, I even wiped the glass and suction cup with alcohol prior to installation. In warm/hot weather, only the weight of the mount caused the device to lower the windshield. RAM needs to redesign this device to move the bowl farther back so the vacuum is strong enough to support the mount, short arm, and phone holder.
