Saved on the rack. It's two inches shorter and doesn't hold the tailgate fully open. They'll have to replace the posts for those of us who bought them and leave it to us to take care of the extra holes we have to drill to get it right.

Able to keep the tailgate open even on a hill. The only downside is that the length isn't long enough to hold the door at a 90 degree angle to the opening. This causes the rubber strip on the window to rub against the metal of the tailgate when the window is opened.

I have two of these. An original order and a replacement, both the same, both defective. Will not expand or collapse. I disassembled the second. No spring, no gas, no piston. Nothing but a 1/4" rod with a ball joint on each end? I have no idea how this thing is even supposed to work. Sent both back for a refund.
