"Smooth Ride with Quality Automotive Suspension

The Rancho RS5000 Series Shock is a high-quality suspension option for anyone looking for a smooth and comfortable ride. The suspension is designed to withstand the toughest terrain and provides excellent control and stability, making it perfect for those who like a little bit of adventure. The installation process is straightforward and can be done quickly. The only downside is that it is slightly more expensive than other options on the market.

Pros
  • Smooth ride, excellent control and stability
Cons
  • More expensive than other options on the market.

I would not recommend buying

Not recommended. The warranty is terrible, the item failed after 3 months and less than 2000 miles. The manufacturer does not directly guarantee the product and there is no way to contact the seller through Amazon to get a replacement. Buying auto parts on Amazon is getting worse every time. The photos show how the truck was found after the impact broke up. The shock absorber nut has completely stripped the thread from the shock absorber.

Pros
  • 5/8 inch. Piston rod diameter (16mm) (for some applications) - Increases strength and durability
Cons
  • Crimped

Ok but why no installation instructions

Bought these shocks for my 2003 F150 with over 120,000 miles. They were fairly easy to install, but removing them was more difficult than installing them. The crazy thing is that I couldn't find any instructions in or on the box, even after going to the Rancho website the installation instructions are no longer there. This is mostly self-explanatory though, the only thing is that the dampers don't seem to have any stress on the piston so they can be disassembled by hand. And after reading some…

Pros
  • Includes boot - protects shock rod and oil seal
Cons
  • Legacy model
