This is an excellent stabilizer for large tires

This is an excellent stabilizer for large tires. It has been said that; If you are very hesitant about a Wrangler, this may not solve your problem. If you buy a steering stabilizer and are still using DW, you will need to have your front end checked by a mechanic. There are a number of things on the front of the JK that can cause death wobble. Bad bushings, loose tie rods and oval bolt holes are just a few.

Works well with shocks, struts and suspension

Will be installed on my '07 Wrangler when all steering components are replaced. I couldn't use the included hardware so I grabbed a nut and bolt from the Ace hardware. I had to install it with the shaft to the passenger side because the damper body was too wide and making contact with the axle housing next to the bracket. Apart from these two issues, the installation was successful. I was with him for two weeks while everything is working.

Great hits paint them cause they will rust instantly

I used this on my jeep wrangler tj and feels great. Once they get wet I recommend rubbing them down with a red scotchbrite pad. It's also a good idea to lightly sand the shock around some of the welds as there are very sharp edges that won't protect the paint at all. Clean them up with some prep, all you might need is a little primer on bare metal or something, then paint them over with a few coats of light to medium spray paint. . Or just apply a few coats of black paint to make them…

Be sure to perform a test run after installation.

The stabilizer bar was easy to install and looked great on my elevated TJ. However, I only took it for a ride with friends who have never driven a Jeep. So I took it easy on them and when we got back I just stayed on the trail when I noticed the rudder stabilizer was loose and the weld was coming undone. All defects were not due to processing. I know the product is very good overall so I will go ahead and order another one. But it's better to bet that if I order another one in this case, I'll…

No more dying hesitation!

This steering damper is very good and the right choice for a jeep with big tires. Ideal when using factory mounts on a 2008 Wrangler JK. Took about 20 minutes, one person. Totally eliminated the dying hesitation. Now I can drive calmly and confidently without feeling like the Jeep is going off the road at every bump. After installation, be sure to adjust the piston length to ensure the tires rotate left and right freely until they stop. Simply replacing the factory piston with a Rancho can…

Goes great with my 03 GMC!

I have a 2003 GMC 1500HD 2wd that I have fitted with a level kit and some 285s. I also installed KYB Mono Max shocks. The truck drove, well, like a truck. All fronts are fine and the truck was leveled by a competent person but it still had a slight dent. I had a bracket and a hole in the tie rod, but my truck didn't originally come with a damper. After installing it made a significant impression on me. It drives much smoother and feels less like an "old truck". Very happy. I recommend getting a
