🗺️ Ultimate Air Vent GPS Mount for Garmin: Secure & Convenient Navigation Solution Review

We needed a backup camera mount for our RV. It is durable but removable (when the camper is powered off). Well constructed so it doesn't bounce. Fits the standard 17mm ball mount found on many electronic devices. We are VERY happy with it!

I have a Gamin nuvi 2797 7" GPS and have used various cell phone air vent mounts which were not ideal. the center air vent on my 2017 Camry.

However it wobbles a bit. It took several tries to get it in the right place. You have to fiddle with that. When I finally got it with the GPS connected, I drove a few miles. It stayed in place. It doesn't touch the stock Ford Ranger radio, nor does it interfere with the Pioneer FH X730BS double din stereo I just installed.

I used this Garmin device mount in a Subaru Outback after the original suction cup mount dried out in the sun and cracked. The mount went into the top left center vent in about 5 seconds. The manufacturing process of this bracket is reliable and extremely stable. The swivel is perfect, but make sure your model fits the cup mount. I have never used an aftermarket mount that was better thought out or as well adjusted. Five stars. I would buy this product again.

This GPS holder is very durable and will stay where you put it. I've only given it 4 runs because there are a couple of issues: 1) it blocks the air coming out of the vent it's attached to, so you can't actually use that vent for cooling/heating anymore; and 2) the air vents in my car (2014 RAM 3500) are either too close to the steering wheel so I can't shift when the GPS is on the cradle, or too far away so I can't see/reach it easily. But overall it's better than the holder I had before.

I have a Garmin 61 7 inch GPS. This airing stand is perfect for presenting GPS. I found that his microphone was on top of the GPS unit and the vents flowing through it let him hear verbal commands. The solution was to disable those vents. The mounting system is just a guide for those whose GPS supports verbal commands.

This mount works really well. When ordering I didn't know if it could support the weight of my Garmin Drivesmart 65 with Alexa. However, this is done with honor. It is very durable and easy to attach and detach without having to reconfigure the mount. It attaches to the vent on the right side of the steering wheel in my 2018 Honda CRV and holds the 6.95" GPS in a perfect position that doesn't block the view of the gauges. I confess I was rather skeptical. I've spent a few days looking for a mount for my new Garmin Smart 71 7" GPS Navigator. There seems to be more phone mounts out there and for me a phone used as a GPS is unreliable as it's from depends on a cell phone tower. GPS is satellite dependent. While I'm sure this mount will work on some cars I rent in the future, it doesn't work on my car. The horizontal air vents in my car are too close to the doors, and it's not the bracket's fault. However, I have 2 vertical vents on the dash either side of the screen and the mount just won't stay in place.
