While I'm sure this mount will work on some cars I rent in the future, it doesn't work on my car. The horizontal air vents in my car are too close to the doors, and it's not the bracket's fault. However, I have 2 vertical vents on the dash either side of the screen and the mount just won't stay in place. The problem is that the vents are angled so the top of the vent is farther from the rider than the bottom. After installing the bracket, the lower part, which is supposed to stabilize the bracket, does not even touch the dashboard. This makes the mount very fragile and almost unusable in my car. I will keep it when I rent a car but at the moment I can't use it at all. I think the stabilizing part on the bottom needs to be redesigned to accommodate the different angles of the vents.
