Works like a 12 volt 5 volt fan?

I connected both fans to the same USB port on my computer. I started getting pop-up messages saying "Unknown USB Device" every 5 seconds. I turned off a fan and got the same "Unknown USB device" message, but now it was about every 15 seconds. Tried 3 different USB ports. Then I put them in a USB charger and I smelled something like something starting to burn in the fans. I then connected a fan with a different name to the same USB ports on the computer. The message has not arrived. It's been…

Good fans at a low price!

Not really much to say. They are fans. You push the air. :-) I used them as fans in a Raspberry Pi case. They were very easy to wire up, with one pin to pin #2 on the GPIO and the other pin to pin #6. I use a fan to pull warm air out of the case instead of blowing cold air onto the CPU. . It works surprisingly well and the temperature was lower than I expected. The fan I installed seems to be quite loud when I first turn on the RPi, but after less than a minute it's almost silent. I'm not…

Works well Computer components

Installed this fan in a Retroflag SUPERPi case along with a Raspberry Pi 3B+. Firstly, the supplied nuts and bolts were, and probably will be in most cases, too long BUT that's a minor annoyance. The Retroflag case features fan clips that do an excellent job of holding the fan in place. Second, the fan noise is pretty loud when plugged into the 5V pins. Loud enough to be heard several feet away. I swapped the pins for 3.3V pins and the fan is much quieter and still feels like it's pushing…

Poor quality, loud sound, vibration and looping

Fans work but decently loud when running on 5v, when running on 3.3v they can still be noisy (louder than 20dB) as the blade appears unbalanced and will vibrate randomly or rub against its own chassis. (sometimes very loud). You can straighten it out by shaking the fan slightly, turn it off again briefly, it works, but not very well. and without the supplied spacer nuts. As a result, I went with a significantly more expensive but quiet and high-quality Noctua NF-A4X10-FLX 5V. its great width…

Working Good - Computers and Accessories

I installed this on my Pi4 and it seems to help with temperature control pretty well. I have an official Pi case, and this morning my Pi was idling at about 75 degrees and doing next to nothing. After adding the fan, it's now idle at around 53C on the 3V power pin. This only seems to work with the label up (Bang Up). The fan makes a grinding noise when blowing. It's too loud for me when operating on the 5V pin, although the temperature drops even more. I prefer the sound level at 3V which is…

Works great with Raspberry Pi 3B+

These fans are working as advertised. Separate cables allow you to decide whether to connect the fan to 3.3V or 5V cables, giving you the option to choose high or medium cooling speed. I lowered the temperature of my Raspberry Pi 3B+ from 50 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius. I now feel confident running the Pi-Hole 24/7 without worrying about a catastrophic hardware failure months later. Passive cooling from a heatsink might be enough for occasional use, but if you leave your Pi powered on

Both started making uncomfortable noises in less than a week.

I only needed one fan and when I saw that it was a list of two I thought "Bonus!". When the fan arrived, I quickly plugged it into my RaspberryPi case. It seemed perfect. It moved a decent amount of air and was completely silent. Fast forward about a week. I'm sitting in my office and I hear a high-pitched "Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" as I tilt the Raspberry Pi's case back and the fan's pitch alternates between almost quiet and loud. The noise got louder and louder over the next few days. Spring. I have

Quiet and moves a decent amount of air for its size.

Used in a Retroflag SuperPi case and works great. It is very quiet and moves quite a lot of air for its size. Not a ton, but enough for it to help. The cables were the perfect length. Very happy with it. Update: I'm glad I went with two packs. Turns out the first fan was bad. It started making weird noises like the hub rubbing inside and although I thought it was pulling a lot of air, the second one was pulling a lot more. I've never used one of those little fans before, so what I thought was a
