May not fit together

I was surprised at how little tolerance was allowed to join the two components. I guess that should keep it from slipping, but without room for error it was impossible to cut mine. I would have to sand down the plastic to fix it. Instead, I chose not to use it.

good idea, bad execution

Beautiful minimalist Pi camera mount. Unfortunately, the packaging is more reliable than the product. It took significantly longer to get the mount out of the tightly sealed plastic bag it came in than it did to assemble. Mounting consisted of attaching the camera to the front bracket with 4 plastic screws. The screws are too long so they have to be shortened for the back. The back attaches casually to the front and doesn't snap into place. This means the whole structure is very weak and will…

About the stupidest things.

Try it. Just because you have a 3D printer doesn't mean you can make junk and sell it to people on Revain for 20x the price. Oh wait a minute. Yes, that's right. These fasteners break as soon as you look at them. And if you do manage to put it together, the nature of the camera and its cable, and the fact that it all weighs about the same as ¼ of a paper clip, will make you difficult to position. There aren't many ready-made mounts for a P-Camera, and of those that do exist, most are horrible…

which worked fine. It became easier for me to get to the nut.

Works. I would agree with many other users that this is cheaply made but after reading these reviews I installed the bolts on the back and nut on the front and it worked very well. I found the nut easier to access and the bolt coming out from the front didn't cause any problems with the frame. Be careful when attaching the leg and don't expect it to withstand many changes in position. There is also super glue.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It works, but only like this/here.

I thought I'd like this in place of my SD card sleeve that I used. This only covers the front of the camera and not the back, the screws are very small and require tweezers to tighten. I also find it too expensive for a 10 cent piece of plastic. I've seen others on Google+ that cover the camera mount completely, I'll consider ordering one of these.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Security

Good reliable product, the best single board computer

Looks and works the same as the pictures. It's a pretty solid design, despite what others say. If you break it during assembly, you shouldn't work with small cameras. It mixes very easily. Although there is a little play in the connected parts, you want it. Otherwise, it will break if accidentally pressed or dropped. All in all this is a good product. Ignore the whiners, they probably want a machined product for the price of a plastic product.

Poor quality control, no instructions

I bought 2 of these because I have 2 cameras. The first one I tried to put together didn't fit in the slots. I tried the second one and it clamped with no problems. Then I compared them and found that the stand part was too thick on the first one. I decided to sand down the protrusions with fine sandpaper. That's when I noticed the protective film. There are no instructions in the packaging. I finally got them both working and they seem pretty solid. A piece of double sided tape would be your…

Useful but unreliable

I bought one of these about 6 weeks ago, put it together and it does exactly what you think it does. However, I unplugged it to reconfigure the position of the horizontal part and the second time I tried to put it back together it broke. Although I didn't have a lot of money, I was annoyed that this thing broke on day one. I tried to glue it again but to no avail (does super glue work with anything other than fingers?). After considering other alternatives, this still proved to be the best…
