Type of review

This is my second DeathAdder, and as much as I wanted to like it, the first (non-colored) failed after 14 months due to double issues, 2-d (Chroma) for 7 months with middle mouse button failure. After disassembling it, I found in a pile of junk an on-board switch to replace the middle mouse button switch that was very poor quality, and the rest of the mouse components weren't much better. I like the feel and performance of the mouse. The mouse is new but the internals are very very cheap and…

Pros
  • Not just usable for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

This mouse has performed GREAT in the first year since purchase (purchased March 2017). In May 2018 the mouse had a problem. The problem is that the right click stops responding. You can click on it and NO clicks will be registered. Then you can click it again, again nothing, then randomly get a double click when you click it. The mouse is physically fine. Other reviewers have also noted this in relation to the mouse. I am in the process of starting an RMA to hopefully get a new mouse as I have

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Bad at everything

I like the fact that you can profile how you want it to work with different applications. However, these settings get corrupted over time (I don't know if it's updates or something) so you have to keep recreating the profiles. Poorly. The rocker switch that works in conjunction with the scroll wheel is also broken, the scroll wheel still works. What bothers me the most is the visibility of the software menu. Developers think it's "cool" to make menus small and almost unreadable. The background…

Broke after 1.5 years

Somehow this mouse bought in February 2017 has already dug its own grave. Up to this month it has worked GREAT, very responsive, comfortable in my hand. But for the past few weeks the light hasn't come on, the left click was very responsive without much pressure (which makes me uncomfortable as I can't imagine it being good for a mouse, but it's the only way) to do it for the :/) and it often double or triple clicks without prompting. I have triple checked my drivers and software. I undressed…

Good at first, spoils very quickly.

Excellent mouse when received. Pleasant, good tactile sensations. Very large, which turns out to be perfect for me. The problem is that this mouse lasted less than 6 months. It has good tracking but the buttons are rubbish. First, clicking the mouse wheel stopped working, and now the right mouse button stops responding. At first I thought there was FINALLY a decent shaving product. No, it is also of low quality. Stayaway.update: Literally 2 days after I wrote this, the mouse wheel stopped…

Disappointing and not up to the task

. I am so disappointed in this mouse that after only 6 months I replaced it with Logitech. The software is buggy and annoying, not tied to a Windows account login but to an online account. Very annoying, especially considering having to rely on software to toggle sensitivity. Terrible for a gamer. The mouse doesn't have a built-in sensitivity switch, meaning you'll have to remap a different button for this function or exit the app to jump to the buggy software mentioned above. And after only 6…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Probably the best gaming mouse I've ever owned.

I'm not a particularly big fan of Razer as most of their products are overpriced and they tend to make flashy products while skimping on build quality, but their mice have always been well made. Before I bought this mouse, I used Razer Lachesis (the original model, not the second version). I actually still use this mouse with my laptop as I can't stand trackpads, but now I use the DeathAdder Chroma with my desktop. It has great grip and feel thanks to the rubber on the sides as well as the…
