unreliable, prone to failure

Comcast installed this modem at my home. Failed two months later. The technician installed a new one, DOA. So the third is the Arris cable modem and it works (so far). Comcast had already committed to using Arris equipment for ultra-high speeds, RCA equipment as a whole must have performed poorly.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons

Returned goods in modems

Good response from the company to the problem with the product. Would buy something else from them. The modem was not working properly.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

RCA DCM315R 2.0 DoSS Compliant

I bought my RCA DCM315R about 6 years ago. So far there hasn't been a single problem, and it's constant! Recently my local ISP forced me to upgrade when I had a small issue with my connection. They stated that my RCA DCM315R is not DoSS 2.0 compliant. You were wrong! After a quick check, I confirmed my suspicions. And it turns out the existing problem is Squirrel eating lunch over my wired connection. I would buy another anytime if my ISP supports DoSS 2.0 or less. mbcjr god bless

Pros
  • Acceptable

  • Not all will fit

Excellent replacement for Comcast RENTAL modem

replaced this particular RCA DOCSIS 2.0 modem with a new DOCSIS 3.0 modem (Motorola Surf 6120). During these 4 years, RCA provided almost 365/24/7 service. It switched itself off for a long time outside the home, e.g. B. when I went on vacation and turned off all computers and the modem. It was still working when I donated it to a local charity. ============================================== A note on the new Surfboard 6120: Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 is incredibly fast/data transfer speed. In fact…

Pros
  • Nice packaging

SAVE MONEY the best network products

I saved so much money because I didn't have to pay a monthly subscription fee to the CABLE COMPANY. It is identical to the one I had from the cable company and is in excellent condition with impeccable performance.

Pros
  • Instills confidence
Cons
  • There are nuances

Good but outdated

Not a bad modem, but not a heavy-duty one. I have been using this modem for 10 years now. However, as more and more bandwidth becomes widespread, this modem just can't keep up. I can download at 3.0-3.5 MB/s (not megabits) but this modem can't handle the number of connections it normally takes to reach those speeds and it drops the connection. Sometimes it happens after 5 minutes and sometimes after 4-5 hours. It will eventually reconnect, but it's frustrating to deal with.

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • Angry
