Switched Constant Yellow and Ground Black

The Constant (Yellow) and Ground (Black) on my 2013 Ram 1500 were reversed compared to the wiring harness. That could be a problem if he didn't know what I was doing. I gotta fix this before the other guys screw up the radio!

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Seniors

Check the polarity on the wires, they are reversed

Someone had a great idea to connect the red wire to the black wire and vice versa so I have mine Fuse shorted several times while figuring out the problem I even bought a different hardness from the best buy store only to see that the wires are installed in the wrong position, check before installing

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Tourniquet

Plug and Play for the most part except. 2 wires on the wiring harness were not properly connected. Yellow and black doesn't match my 2015 Ram 3500 with the base Uconnect 3.0 radio. The yellow on the harness is actually grounded. Black on the wiring harness is yellow, that's + the battery. Just check before installation

Pros
  • Wrongly pinned dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • There are nuances

Sad but serviceable

I've read that a lot of people say yellow/black are reversed. Without thinking and in a hurry, I connected color to color. Plugged in and nothing. A hidden wireless fuse blew on my 2018 RAM 2500. The dealer had to show me where the fuse was. I looked at the OEM wiring harness and this wiring harness. AHA! yellow and black - backwards. STUPID! STUPID! This company just made my shitty list!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Little things

Check the wiring!

I installed an aftermarket radio on a 2013 Ram 1500 Tradesman that only has the base factory radio. This wire harness is all I need to connect power, ground, speaker and antenna. However, when I tried to connect it, I saw that the black ground wire and the yellow power wire on the wiring harness did not match the wires in the factory wiring harness. I checked the factory wiring harness with a multimeter and then just swapped the wires between the new wiring harness and the new radio. It's easy,

The yellow and black wires have crossed.

I spent about 6 hours yesterday afternoon installing my stereo with this seat belt after pulling out all my hair, cursing like a sailor, blowing 3 fuses and going to the store, to buy more fuses I started reading Revain reviews on this product and since everyone said the yellow and black wires are in each other's wiring harness. I then managed to get the pins out and put them in the right places. The Wand-La-Stereo turns on. Also, I connected the red wire to the back of the 12v cigarette…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

CHECK THE WIRE HARNESS!

I'm someone who doesn't usually leave reviews but I think in this case it's really important! so it connects and works the way it was designed. I WAS WRONG. Note the negative (black) and constant power (red) wire at the factory and (yellow) on this wiring harness that we replaced when installing a new care home stereo. Connected the wiring harness to the stereo and immediately blew the fuse on the stereo. (direct short circuit) I may add that I am an electronics technician by profession. I have
