If you're thinking about using a grounding shoe, just note that the rubber insole has been glued to the main piece of leather. This insole does not contribute to grounding. This is a great basic moccasin set with a comfortable insole and a fun design. The insole is glued in but mine comes off very easily if you want to ground your moccasins. Minimal amount of leather surface adheres to the glue, not enough to make a difference. Start with the toe and you can clip it off and leave the heel for a little pad which I would make if I could start from scratch - ended up having to add the dr. Scholl heel pads. I haven't found a grounding shoe without a comfort complaint,

In general they were quite easy to assemble. The first took me about 45 minutes, constantly checking the instructions and correcting mistakes, and the second only took me about 15 minutes without even looking at the sheet. Mine aren't exactly like the picture but not bad for a first time with zero sewing skills. I have a big problem with coloring.
