Wish it would work but the welds in the pocket that goes over the bumper were too big and wouldn't let the screws go through the top of the bumper. I bought this because it looked like the most durable of these adapters, but if you can't use it the strength doesn't help.

Works great, looks well built and holds tight. To edit! I've only towed bikes on a bike in the back and felt like I could twist the bumper of a van and thank goodness when I looked in the bumper I realized and saw that both of my hitches had come loose from both carriage bolts! And of course it's a waste and definitely not safe!

Well it's good that the clutch is well done. The bad news is that the bolts get stuck in the panel at an angle that tends to ruin the first thread on the bolts and all you have to do is screw in the nuts. On reflection I had a nut, no washers or lock washers. So I got what I needed from the local hardware store. In fact, I could never justify her indifference to the customer by not caring about the device packaging.

The mount itself seems solid enough but the carriage bolts are junk. The head broke when I tightened it to about 50 ft-lbs. This will result in serious property damage and possible injury or death if the strut falls off the back of the vehicle onto the highway. We strongly recommend that Revain remove this product from site until the manufacturer has confirmed that the equipment supplied with the mount is safe to use. The product was delivered with bad fasteners! One of the two bolts was too long and the thread stopped at 3/8". They sent two different type nuts which could not be screwed onto the bolt due to medium production. Arrived a day early and fits great. I installed it on a 2019 Forrest River 26ft RV with a 4" x 4" rear bumper. The hitch is actually spaced out about 1/8 inch so it slides right through. Nice accessories included. Nuts are serrated lock nuts and require a 19mm deep head. A deep 3/4 hex shoe will also work (ask my teenager who helped me install it :)). Good hitch but lousy class 2 carriage bolts. I knew this was happening. And all similar products do the same thing, which is a horrible practice. So I bought some #8 bolts, washers, and nuts at a local hardware store for an additional $20. Now I don't worry about crashes anymore. Everyone who buys this MUST do the same.
