A good choice for a recessed narrow socket. I wish it could handle 15 amps but it's rated for 12. And it has 2 USB ports. An important point to consider is the allowable free space on the sides of the device. The front only protrudes beyond the box insert by about 3/32" on each side (top and bottom are fine). Your dimple cutting has to be pretty damn precise to hide it. Going beyond the width will reveal it. It gives no forgiveness, no mercy.

My electrician told me that installing in drywall can be difficult due to the narrow "ledger" around the edges, which (from memory) was about 1/8" thick. He explained that in all likelihood there were *a *Gap between the device and the drywall will be visible as even a professional drywall installer can have difficulty cutting a hole precisely enough to place the device outside of it without any frills. We have a nice pull out sofa in the living room with medium storage and cup holders. The only thing missing was the ability to charge our controllers while playing.
