Poor quality mount

Loved the light, good quality lots of light and great battery life. However, the bracket that attaches it to the bike rack's belt is not good at all. On a regular gravel road, no crazy bumps or anything, it popped out of its mount twice, the second time I didn't notice until I got home and it was lost forever. It sucks to lose in just a few weeks. For anything but a smooth road ride, I'd attach something that attaches directly to the seatpost with rubber bands or something, rather than…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • So far so good

Good light, poor fit

Real light is great in every way, but too tight between flashlight and rubber strap mount. Either the square mounting bracket on the light is too wide or the "socket" on the rubber mount is too narrow. If you put it in the rubber holder, the flashlight can hardly be removed. Sanding down or sawing off a square mounting tab will help, but it's tricky - it's durable plastic! Almost identical headlights from other manufacturers for a little more money do not have this problem. The flashlight can…

Potentially used?: Sport

Photos to follow later but I definitely pulled it out of the box it came in and was expecting something different. The clear plastic box it came in was scratched and unsealed and appears to have been used? It looks like it has been dragged across the floor for hours or so as there were so many small scratches on the clear packaging. However, I'm giving 3 stars because the product works and works well for the price. It's still hard to tell if it was second hand or not! (And just FYI - I bought…

Not the best. in taillights

I've waited a bit to review. I've been using this for quite some time on my late night and busy bike rides. The brightness is good. Exceptionally good. It took me a little while to figure out how to properly set it to strobe/flash and not steady. The battery life is so-so. I intentionally fully charged it overnight. The next day I drove about 2 hours. Used it again the next day and died less than an hour into my ride. So when I use it, I charge it fully before every ride. As for the charging…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Some bugs

09/04/2020 On the rest the straps are broken. Charging ports not working. These are cheap china lanterns and all sites have them. Too bad they were nice and bright. Update, now the charging port on one of my three won't charge the flashlight unless it's moving in one direction. Update, bought several of these and the strap broke in half on one. The seller said I should buy a new one. So no guarantees for that. This light is much brighter than any other under $10 Chinese taillights I've bought…

Not big enough for sport

This is a review of the Ultra Brite Red rechargeable bike headlight. It hasn't worked since. I don't care because slow blinking is all I want. On (slow blink)/off still works. The permanent on works from time to time. Regarding: Brightness: BRIGHT setting is what you need for daylight, low setting is good for night time. A photo with the lights on has low brightness - BRIGHT cannot be used in the photo. Re: The mounting bracket - the only practical place to mount it is in the seatpost frame…

There is a better choice

I have two objections.1. The 'protrusion' on the back of the light housing is too large for the 'socket' on the mounting plate. The socket seems to be the same size as many competing lamps. The "tab" is too big in all dimensions. This is a problem for me as I prefer to leave the attachment strap in place and detach the flashlight to charge it. If you just push the tab into the socket without lubricating the tab, you probably won't be able to separate the light from the socket. I sanded the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

  • Not as thick as other options
