GOOD LEAK DETECTION

This Better Bubble product was used to isolate multiple leaks in an air compressor system. Although soapy water can also be used, this material contains a light oil base which tends to stick to the surface being tested and allows for much more accurate leak detection. Use this product when you need to identify leaks quickly and accurately.

Pros
  • Its thick formula can be used at different temperatures and pressures.
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging.

Dislikes - Leak detection tools

Not thick but like water. Does not stay on the pipe, flows and dissolves quickly creating very few tiny bubbles which are very short lived. The pump pours the product onto your hand as it sprays, making application awkward. There are much better products out there so you don't have to spend any money on them. I tried this based on the high ratings from other users and the Rectorseal name, but it didn't live up to expectations.

Pros
  • It's biodegradable
Cons
  • boring packaging

Costs money!

GREAT product! We've been trying to track down a slow, slow propane leak for a while. We've used soap and water solutions and a cheap "sniffer" to no avail. A small leak was quickly found. I was a little worried it would be too watery, but it's viscous enough to stick effectively. I was also concerned that spraying with a spray bottle would create "foam" that would cover up the leak, but that didn't happen. It's sticky enough to get through anything, but runny enough to spray well and cover a…

Homemade leak found

I ran an extra gas line under our outdoor grill house. Shortly after installation, I noticed the smell of gas, so along with an electronic leak detector, I crawled back under the house and started spraying the seams. After spraying the coupler with this leak detector (and also after the electronic leak detector went haywire right next to where I was, I was able to find a crack in the line where there was an ill-supported long section of pipe. Be patient, and spray lots of this stuff on your…

  • Large and bulky
