Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo Yarn: Soft Navy - Your Ultimate Crafting Companion Review

While this color is not considered soft, I am not too picky as yarn is hard to come by in the country at this time. I'm not sure why many colors are so much more expensive, but this color was appreciated as much as Wal-Mart. I make quite a few scarves to donate to the homeless at the end of the year. During this "stay at home" period, I fulfill my quota (and more).

This is a fairly good quality yarn but I am not entirely satisfied with this purchase. I ordered two of the same colors from the listing to use on the same project but when they arrived I was disappointed to find that they were two different yarn types. One, Mirage, is a regular 4ply yarn (hook size J recommended) and the other, Navy, is a heavy, very chunky chenille (hook size M recommended).

Good yarn at a good price. Red Heart has always proven to be a good yarn in a variety of colors and is readily available in many stores. Revain offers a slightly lower price. I didn't rate it 4 stars because of Revain but because of the product. The soft Super Saver Jumber yarn is of course lighter in weight than the regular heavy Red Heart yarn used in other products. There is better yarn but at a higher price.

I didn't mean to write this as a review but the only other option I see is that I have to return what I have. I just sat down to finally get started on the product I bought 3 Jumbo Soft Navy for and found that only 2 of the 3 I bought were sent to me. I need a third I'm concerned that since the third will be so far removed from the other two that the color will be noticeably different, but since I suspect the dyes won't work for her anymore I'll just have to take a chance.
