As announced

Ideal for educational purposes. Most graduate students have never seen different types of charcoal. The size of the samples is sufficient and the quality is standard - there are many of them - but they are absolutely representative.

Great for raising the pH in your aquarium

I know this is intended as a teaching aid but they also work great if you are having trouble raising the pH in your home aquarium. I put two rocks in a 5 gallon freshwater aquarium and it raised the pH from 6.0 to a neutral 7.2 in a matter of days and stabilized for two weeks even without changing the water. Highly recommended!

Just Red Sandstone

Cool sandstone rocks but none of them looked like the picture with white stripes. We had the usual red sandstone. It was good but if you are looking for something similar to the picture it might be different. For my purposes of using this in a diorama this was disappointing although other science classes might enjoy the stone itself.
