fallen on the way. in Boating

The product looks great but after we installed it and drove the trailer a few hundred miles it disappeared. Yes, I fell on the way to my destination. The fit was snug and pressed down with a rubber mallet to ensure it was fully seated. Next time I'll just go straight to the trailer manufacturer, it might cost a little more. Not quite. At the moment we still lack oilers.

Redline Ez Lube Grease Cap, 1.986 " OD

Used to replace the Dexter EZ axle grease caps that came with my Toro log splitter. The axle is a lightweight Dexter torsion axle. After 30 days they didn't start to rust and the rubber caps stayed in place, they protruded from the outer edge of the tires, but the original was the same and the tires are narrow, size 4.80-12.

  • Wow
Cons
  • Available in white only

Did not meet my expectations

the metal is thinner than the trp brand. The rubber stopper is a harder material and is more difficult to insert and remove. They fit snugly in the hubs, but the lip sticks out slightly from the hub. To be honest I thought it was a Chinese fake but the seller said they were genuine Redline/Dexter parts and had been in the trailer business for 25 years so I wouldn't recommend them.

They fall. suitable for sports

it goes without saying that you have to hit the caps with a hammer. I did just that and lost it sometime during the last ride of the season. This year I found it was missing so I grabbed the second one from the set and stumbled across it. When I got to the camp, he was gone again. There isn't enough hem on these lids to hold it up. Cheap and bad design. Buy an OEM if you can. It's the work of a few extra bucks.

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • high price

skintight Good quality, / Update: Lost a first ride.

Fits very tightly on Kodiac disc brake hubs and Winns 3500 quad hubs. Better tight than loose. Update: First ride, 6 hours, don't know how I lost one, assume it got hot and lube may have squeezed it out. I was hoping the rubber would pop out and release grease/air instead. Strange, because they seemed really tight. Guess bad, try again. Maybe during this time to stick the bastards.

Pros
  • Excellent value for money

  • No

A must for protecting the bearings from moisture

Attention! They can be very difficult to install. I damaged one by hitting it with a rubber mallet and a 2 x 4. I took another reviewer's advice and ran a belt sander around the edge. Tried it with a rubber mallet, didn't help. Have a 2 x 4 piece about 5 inches long and a brick. I started tapping the bearing cap with a brick 2x4 and it went right in. If you bend it a little and hit it with a hammer, you'll damage it. Must hit the target.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Not all fit
