RedWolf Tailgate Handle 2004 2014 2009 2016 Review

Installed on 04 F150. Works well and is easy to install. Will not work with wireless adapters that you can buy from Revain so it needs to be plugged into the radio. Good quality.

The camera did not work. Exchanged it for a known good device that worked great. Otherwise the quality seems acceptable. Well packaged, with logical instructions.

The instructions are terrible and I still can't get it to work. Directions are bad, and why is there a grid line option? Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Better than I expected. Installation took a little time and wasn't extremely difficult, just time consuming. It's worth it. I switched to an audio receiver with a built in rear view camera monitor and I love it. I replaced the license plate cam that required weekly tuning with this one that you don't need to tune! Highly recommended.

The first one I received had a broken rod but the replacement came quickly. The hardest part was pulling the cables. I had an extra quarter inch of wire shielding that I used to route along the underside of my car and into the dash. The joints seem to work fine, but I also used tape over the joints to ensure they don't get wet over time. The picture is great!

This rear view camera exceeded my expectations! For the price it couldn't be better. As it is built into the tailgate handle it has a factory look and not the BS stripe you sometimes see at the top of license plates. One thing that takes some getting used to is that the guides aren't actually aligned to your location. Park. But you don't have to use them if you don't want to see them either. No stars for "Transparency" because I have no idea what it refers to. This kit comes with more than enough wire to: 1) get to my truck's cab (8ft box) with a spare wire 2) enough wire to connect power (backup lights) so I cut a few feet.
