Poor tolerances, loose fit but works well

These pliers appear to be very budget friendly. They work well and if you come across clamps that require these types of pliers you'll be glad you have them. However, they are clearly not of the best quality. Tolerances are pretty bad, surfaces aren't well polished at all, and things just don't fit together very well. This would be good for a person who only uses it once or twice a year. If you are a professional mechanic who makes money off your tools every day, I would recommend a higher…

Cheap and work.

Click-R clips are very difficult to remove without damaging them and almost impossible to reattach without such a tool. This is an inexpensive version of a branded pair of pliers. They work great. Made of thick forged steel, not sheet metal. Lots of padding on the handles. The business end is finished and fits well. The finish is a bit ugly, but that's also due to the expensive ones, after a few times under the hood. The only thing they lack over the expensive ones are rotating jaws, so you…

Medium duty pliers for most clamps

This is a small pliers for disposable clamps. The tool is smaller and lighter than expected, which means you'll need to use a bit more force to crimp the connectors, but that's not a bad thing and the tool seems solid enough to last a while with normal use. The tool is not very high quality. So while it looks okay, the spring is a bit flimsy and just doesn't feel very strong. It works well though and if size or weight is an issue then this is a decent clamping tool that will get the job done. I

Do the job well for snap ring pliers

These are affordable snap ring pliers. If you are working on a car from home they are suitable for light use and cost less than half the price of name brand cars that a mechanic would normally use. They work reasonably well, although the flat, pointed end could be a bit sharper. They resemble pliers, but the blades shouldn't close; They act like a wedge to hold the hook in place in the clip and they need clearance so you don't cut through the metal clip. They're cheap, but they don't have sharp

Job mostly well suited for hand tools

I got these pliers from the Vine program. As you can see from the photos there is a spring inside that keeps the jaws open - I don't like that feature and have the sprocket for the clutch docked to it. If you remove a clamp that's fairly easy to reach, that's fine, it's no big deal. However, if you're lying on top of the engine trying to get at the clamp between it and the firewall in an awkward spot, the spring makes this tool more annoying than anything else. In addition, at least at Toyota…

Finally an affordable option

As a trained master mechanic, I used it from time to time. Unfortunately, because they're rarely used, not many companies make them, and when they do, they cost at least twice as much as they do. So I was happy to see that an inexpensive option is now available. Only pliers are included and nothing else. But then nothing else is required or expected. They seem to work well and should get the job done easily and make it a lot easier to get the job done. The build quality is what you'd expect…
