I bought this device in January and started using it in February. The batteries stopped working after a month. I contacted Renpho and they asked me to replace the batteries. I was told that if it happens again they will replace the unit as it is covered by a 1 year warranty. So I swapped the batteries. This time they lasted 3.5 months. But it still doesn't make sense. I don't know exactly what I'm getting with all this 'smart' stuff but it tells you everything in the app and it's so easy to understand. Everything works perfectly and in place. I love my Renpho scale! I bought the BR003 model earlier this year and recently this model, the BR001. I like them both but I prefer the newer BR001. I personally like the look of the white, modern scales compared to the black ones with visible contacts. The white scale also does not show any dust like the black scale. Advantages: Beautiful scales. The entire top of the scale is a sensor (you don't have to step on the small sensors like some other scales). Nice bright numbers. Retrieve weight data of individual family members on their mobile phones. (Surprisingly many smart scales can't.) The smartphone app gives you the option to save scale data to a guest account. (I don't need to create an account on their servers to write scale data. I'm not sure if the guest account sends my scale data to their servers.)
