Very durable!: Traverse

This item fitted my 2014 Forester perfectly. It takes about 20 minutes the first time you need to adjust the width, but now it turns on and off after a few minutes. Carried a 6hp Mercury outboard motor. in a Thule roof rack to NW Ontario from Chicago with no problems. Overall good buy.

Good price Solid cross members

Perfect for 2021 Subaru Forester. They are hard wearing and are excellent value for money compared to OEM's for the price (can't speak to the quality of Subaru's OEM cross members). They are currently used to mount the Rolla roof rack. If the roof rack is not attached, no additional noise can be heard. The photos show the crossbars without the leg pocket cover attached.

Fits the car very well; but one of the four locking mechanisms broke on first use.

The crossbars are attached to the roof bars with heavy duty socket head screws. To deter theft, key lock covers prevent access to the latches. A lock broke on first use so I glued the lid back on. (I've never asked for replacement locks that are relatively easy to reinstall. If a supplier suggests replacing locks, I'll update this review.)

Torn from undamaged packaging

Delivery was fine, box and all packaging looked new and undamaged. I installed one on my Förster and thought: ok, not a Yakima, but for the price it's ok. An open another guide and a cap and two parts of the locking mechanism fall out of the pocket (see photo). Send back. I can't trust a cargo crate on the track when it's already falling apart new from the crate. Pay attention to the design of the cap. Not good. The brittle plastic that holds the lock cylinder in place is irreparable as it is…

Fits perfectly on 2014 Forester 2.5i Premium

I had to buy new cross members after my Subaru OEM front bar broke this summer. They fit perfectly and seem stronger. In addition, they give me 2-3 inches more usable bars than standard bars. I have a Thule Cascade Box on my car together with a Thule UpRide bike carrier. With the OEM handlebars, my pedals were rubbing against the Thule box. When I went through a pothole that caused my bike to rock back and forth and broke the crossbar, my pedal on the side of the Thule box broke. With these new
