Broke after a few uses

I bought this blade to replace an original part that lasted a few years but recently broke. This lasted for several weeks before they met the same fate. The bottom gear simply cut off and the blender stopped working. I was very surprised as when it arrived it appeared to be a quality piece. Attention buyers.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Everything is fine

It fits CB-4, works well

The base of the item is slightly different from the original CB-4 component but to my great relief it works perfectly. I just received this item and cannot comment on its durability; I will update the review if premature failure occurs. So far the blade assembly works very well in my old favorite CB-4 and the extra spacers make this item a great value. No new mixer needed!

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some minor things

The blade is not symmetrical so it vibrates from the start

This is my #3 blade. They all failed in the past due to the blade not being symmetrical (one blade is further from the center folded away than the other). It's not balanced from the start. This creates vibration and shortens the life of the blade. I contacted the company but there was no response to my query. I have no idea why they keep making and selling defective blades.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

defective part

This part arrived in 1 day (impressive). As I rotated the bottom rubber piece and held the blades, the rubber piece rotated. It looks like the threads in the lower rubber part have snapped. I found that the old part I was replacing had cracked in the plastic and was leaking from there. So I used black plastic to replace my old one but this part broke. Cuisinart has returned this item. Would I buy again? If I couldn't find the official part, but in this case yes, it's better to try again than to

Not durable at all for Kitchen & Dining

The original's teeth have worn down after over 20 years of use causing the handle with the motor teeth to slip. I replaced it with this one and it only broke into pieces when crushing ice after about 3 weeks of use. Only about 3 ice cubes in at the same time. The shards hit the sides of the glass, creating a crack about 3 inches long. Now it's not worth replacing the glass at the expense of a 20 year old design and a motor that may not last. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to use the…

Better than the original!

I've had my Cuisinart blender for over a decade now and when this part wore out I decided it would be better to replace the part than the whole blender. I was a bit disappointed in finding out the part had been taken down. I made a lot of smoothies and when I poured the mixture into jars I saw black pieces of plastic in the mixture. We salvaged the hard black plastic parts and then after a little detective work found that the part holding the blades was worn out. and could no longer secure the…

no guy Do not do that.

I hope one day I'll learn the lesson that the cheapest at Revain is usually the worst. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, you just sold me a pretty crappy blender. About a year ago, after a few weeks of research, I bought a Cuisinart blender (sorry, forgot the model name and number). The blender itself is holding up well (fingers crossed) but the blade has jammed about half a year after purchase. Maybe it was my fault I threw in a whole clove and allspice. Spring. I'm just getting a…
