Got this as a second remote for our Samsung Smart TV. So far it's working great and I love the price! No programming required! Batteries installed and everything worked out of the box. The keys are a little firm, but will soften over time.

I liked that it came right out of the box. The only thing I had an issue with was the harsh volume control, which is difficult to use. It works. Good deal at $14.00 for sure! Much better than paying $65. :)

This remote worked right out of the box for my Samsung TV, no programming required! The only problem is that the volume button is so tight that someone has to press REALLY hard to change the volume. In most cases, this ends with a reduction in volume, since the mute button is also on the same button.

Gee, could you make the volume control heavier? Anyone familiar with this remote control knows that the volume switch has three functions. Louder, quieter and mute. The switch is so rigid that you will find it difficult to use it. If you try to regulate up and down, you'll find that you've muted the sound. Very frustrating. Fuck!

Worked as soon as I pointed it at my TV, no code, links or other hurdles to jump through. I sometimes have problems with the volume control, but my last remote (original) also worked until it stopped working, so I'm afraid it could be my TV and not a remote problem. Overall I would most likely buy another one if the remote stopped working for my other Samsung TV.

We bought this when the remote control that came with the TV broke. We had to buy three of these in six months because the average lifespan is 45 to 60 days. They only seem to live past the available return window and then die. I may have no choice but to keep ordering unless I find another brand of the same type of remote that has a longer lifespan.

My new Samsung 6 Series TV came with the most complicated and uncomfortable remote control I have ever experienced. This "universal" remote control is the answer. It worked right out of the box and does everything I need it to do. It is convenient and easy to use, even in the dark. This is the remote that MUST come with a new TV. worth your money. Tip for other buyers: The volume and channel buttons toggle up and down, which may not be obvious at first glance.

I've had the same problems as others have mentioned, I think it may be due to poor pouring. I oiled all the switches on top and it made a definite improvement and reduced the plastic friction squeak on the plastic. This hasn't caused any problems with the electronics so far and I've wiped excess oil off the surface with a damp paper towel with some dish soap and a second wipe with window cleaner, an oil needle applicator would be just fine.
