The carburetor is plastic junk. the throttle is hard to move and the engine does not run properly. It worked a couple of times and now the engine revs are constantly roaring, almost dying. The tank did not fit like the original but was slightly modified. The ignition bulb broke after a very short time.

The product works perfectly. Although I had 2 problems. I also had to enlarge the screw hole on my setup. I also had to remove the carburetor because it wouldn't start or fuel. Unfortunately it was fitted with the gasket and diaphragm reversed. It ended up with several wasted hours. I wasn't happy when I realized that was the problem!

Had to grind 1/8" of bottom of right side support/bar mount, bolt hole did not match due to tank seam imperfections. Started pulling first and seems to work fine. No cracks more. I won't know for sure until spring mowing season, but I'd say it's a good idea. Easier than a rebuild as something might be wrong in the original carburetor. That's what happened. Before ordering this I ripped the tank, carburetor, intake and spool off my engine. Everything cleaned up and reinstalled. I started the mower but it's still buzzing! I ordered this as a last resort. I received it as it was pictured. I installed it and filled the tank with gas. Filled up 6 times, the engine started and purred! I've used it 5 times since then and the carbs are still perfect. Although this replacement carburetor/gas tank looks identical to the original Briggs and Stratton version, the resemblance ends there. When it was hooked up to a lawnmower it kinda worked and I attached the old carburetor to the new gas tank part to make it work. As with other reviewers, I had to re-drill one of the gas tank mounts to attach the new gas tank to the mower. The price is tempting, but the reality is that this is too critical a part to rely on an offshore copy of the manufacturer's
