Excellent replacement: Serving Utensils

My spout broke off in the dishwasher. I measured mine and ordered this one hoping it would work. It matched my Starbucks press perfectly and the new screens were a plus! The edges of mine were frayed and wiry and caught everywhere. The main advantage of this was that it has measuring lines. I was about to order a brand new press, maybe not glass but was afraid I wouldn't be able to classify the water properly. Some had dimensions inside, but I'm not sure if I can see them and feed hot water to…

Much better than the original but still brittle

I had this jar replaced just a few weeks later when while stirring (with a metal stirrer) 100 grams of grist was barely touching the bottom of the container when it was so small hole was torn at the bottom. I have used wooden, metal and plastic stirrers without any problems. However, I will use the recommended bamboo stirrer. If you're actually using ounce measurements that's great, but please do the white letter and dark letter the same price. This glass is certainly thicker than the original…

The Autocrack 2019: Self-Breaking Glass, No High Threes Necessary!

When the original Bodum glass shattered, there was at least one reason: I accidentally bumped into the sink while washing. Conveniently, this interchangeable carafe doesn't wait for someone to break it. With no warning or apparent reason, it cracked itself! Even before I knew about the built in auto tear feature I thought it was great - attractive, good fit, nice 6oz cup markings, etc. Imagine my surprise. when on the third day the glass came loose and shattered itself. He sat on the counter…

Suitable replacement

I give this product three stars but only one for myself. I don't seem to have much luck when it comes to glass French presses, but I'm not humiliated by making coffee in a plastic press. He crashed. The second had a metal cage around him, but he was killed with a butter knife. This will be the third one and it will take a long time (unless it catches fire and drowns in the swamp). This replacement carafe is perfect for my old French press and any other items I had before working with it. Shelf…

Ideal as a glass replacement! (with cool bonuses)

My previous carafe broke and while I was tempted to buy a brand new set I didn't want to be wasteful and just throw away the fine gadgets. This glass fits perfectly in the old frame and I'm glad I didn't have to throw the old one away. I can't remember how far the plunger went down in my old jar, but the plunger stands about 3/4 inch from the bottom of this jar, which seems right given there's plenty of room for coffee grounds. I liked the reading material provided and they even emailed a PDF…
