Glad I finally replaced my broken remote! This one works great (doesn't connect to the device) but I always have to point it directly at the Roku box for it to work. Sometimes you have to press the buttons more than once, but I've seen reviews of all these types of remotes and this one had the best price.

was corrupt For a while I couldn't figure out why my Roku 2 wasn't working properly. As soon as I replaced the cable between the device and the TV, I concluded that my remote control was no longer working properly. This one did the job, had the same buttons as my original remote and worked right away. I'm so glad it was an inexpensive fix and didn't have to call customer service. Hooray!

I like that this soft key has better grip and quieter keys, but no big arrow key that is not easy to swipe. I would have preferred the enter key to be separate like the original. In the original it was too easy to press the channel buttons; on this one they are farther away, they are not so easy to accidentally touch. I have these and I like one with no channel buttons and the other is slightly better. Both are good inexpensive alternatives to the original unless you're playing motion games…
