Description of ๐Ÿ’ฆ High-Performance Replacement Fleck Stainless Steel Bypass - Enhance Water Filtration Efficiency

Replacement seal for leaky bypass valves. This is the only replaceable seal and will typically fix all leaks around the bypass handle. Works with both the 3/4" and 1" bypass valves used on Fleck 5600, 2510, 9000, 9100, and more. Allows you to fix leaks without replacing and replumbing a new bypass valve. Fleck part# 11726.

Fits my bypass valve like a glove seal

Received a replacement seal within 2 days. After reading other reviews it was so easy to turn off the main water faucet in the house, open a few taps and then remove the top and bottom plates on the water softener bypass. The old seal was deformed from being in one position for a long time (about 20 years) and came out fairly easily, although it left black rubber "soot" on my hands and wherever I put it. You can replace this with just a little skill and knowledge.

This saved a life (and flooded the basement). Thank you for finding a 25 year old water filter bypass valve part. It's a bit pricey, but of course it's better than replacing the entire valve assembly. I would recommend cleaning the existing waterline (or whatever it's called) if you remove it. Mine was kind of funky. This is the plastic part that goes in the middle of this washer and attaches to the bypass handle. I lubricated practically every surface of the washer with plumber's siliconeโ€ฆ

Works like original

I have a Fleck 5600 water softener and I have noticed that the bypass valve is leaking quite heavily (a few drops per second). Even after turning the bypass knob (bypassing the softener) the leak continued, albeit at a much slower rate. This seal looked very similar to the original and as soon as I replaced the original with it the leakage stopped. If you're having the same problem, you can determine if the gasket needs replacing by looking at where the leak is actually occurring. If water isโ€ฆ
