Replacement Impeller Aquarium Canister Microsystems Review

Replacing this impeller was as easy as twisting the cap, pulling out the old one and inserting the new one. Took about five minutes and eliminated that annoying rattling noise we've been living with for a year.

I've had my SunSun canister for 5 years and recently I thought I needed a new one. I decided to replace the impeller first. I'm so glad dad because it solved the noise problem right away for a lot less money than I would have spent on a new canister. Great spare part!

Failed to adjust filter to prime or maintain flow. I bought this impeller and found that the old one had actually come loose from the shaft. Installed in minutes and I'm back in business. Works like new again! Thought this device had seen better days.

I have had a SunSun 304b on my 75 liter pool for years! One day it suddenly started making noise and it wasn't blowing air or anything. Disassembled, cleaned everything and the impeller. Still noisy. Bought a replacement impeller, put it in, everything was quiet again! Do you think the old one is worn out? I didn't notice anything visually. It doesn't matter as it's a cheap solution.

One of the three I got was functional. One ceramic spindle was broken and the other was 7.6mm shorter than it should have been, rendering it unusable as it would not make contact at either end in the pump housing. The one I received in working condition is exactly the same as the original and has been running in my 303B for about a week with no problems.

Apparently after a few years of continuous use, the shaft wears out. The extra clearance allows the magnet to constantly bounce and bang against the case wall. The housing does not appear to have suffered any damage as after replacing the impeller the filter returned to its original rather quiet noise level. We let it get to the point of being obnoxious and immediately felt relieved after installation. Obviously simple installation - the impeller is in the filter cap with a screw cap. The price

Unfortunately I have to conclude that my canister is outdated and just not worth the time and money invested in it. Especially with such a poor ratio of high price and significantly low quality. The first impeller broke, I replaced it, and the second came in good condition but broke after a few days of regular use after careful maintenance of the whole unit before installation. To be honest, I think the Sunsun is good for the budget for the face value, but not great in the long run. Spare parts
