Enhance Performance with Replacement Impeller for Cascade 1000 Canister Filters Review

I have had to replace this in my pump/filter over the last 10 years, the shaft has been worn/broken a few times but is easy to take out and replace

I lost the little black part while cleaning and used the impeller without it. It got too noisy but once I replaced it everything was fine.

Very glad we bought this replacement wheel. The noise level is better, as is the suction power of the filter. In an aquarium with turtles, the water is cleaner.

The filter that came with the filter lasted about a year. I bought this replacement and it lasted just over a year. Just bought another one. This appears to be a design flaw in the filter, but it's cheaper to buy a new support every year than to buy a new filter.

I bought one of these to have on hand when needed. This is one of the most important parts of a canister filter to have on hand. As usual with Revain it was a great price and if an emergency arose where I needed a replacement prop I would not endanger my fish by waiting for a prop to come in the mail or find the right size.

I have had a Cascade 1000 for a little over 2 years and recently it started to rattle very loudly. I tried cleaning the impeller and also tried lubricating it with petroleum jelly. None of this worked. Not sure what is actually worn out as the impeller appeared to be in good condition. I understand that the plastic rod deforms over time? Anyway, I bought this impeller as a replacement and the noise is gone. I hope it lasts another 2 years. We will see.

I have an old Cascade canister filter that I wanted to use for extra filtration in a cichlid tank. I knew I had to replace the rubber seal as the filter hadn't been used for about 2 years.
