10 Pack of RP4993 Seat and Spring Replacements for Delta Faucet Repair Kit Review

I've had them for over a year now. Haven't used it until today. Very easy to replace. The whole project only took about ten minutes (including cleanup).

The flanged rubber washer is very difficult to insert into the hole. Lowe's delta washers are flangeless and work great, but are much more expensive.

The springs were a perfect replacement, but the seats were only a hair larger than the factory seats and didn't fit easily in the faucet. Fit them as best as you can, then screw in the new valve and they seem to work. Too bad they aren't the exact size as this is a great purchase.

As these valve seats/springs have been repackaged they cannot be assumed to be genuine Delta parts as advertised. If they were in a Delta blister pack, there would be no doubt. Although they look the same, I found the aftermarket items to be inferior.

Disappointed. It just seals the old part it replaced. You still have to look for another alternative. Easy to use and replace, but ineffective. Tried 6 of them before I just said it wouldn't work. Some of them have proven to be even less effective, so it's worth trying a few. Of course you can be lucky, but I wasn't lucky.

Worked great to replace the old 'seat and spring' for my bathroom faucet. kit (it says "10 packs" but that means you get 5 seats and 5 springs so you can do 5 repairs) so I'm not sure if it was worth buying 10 packs, but the price was good for it. .

They are a bit more difficult to install than the OEM Delta as the rubber on the underside appears a bit wider. However, they seem to work just as well (if not better). The springs also seem to be a bit taller, but that could just be because older springs compress over time. It's far more profitable to just grab that pack of 10 and dump the excess in a bin than to buy OEM.

Used the seats/springs to replace a leaking Delta bathroom faucet I fixed about 3 months ago with a similar item and it started leaking again. The springs are made of stainless steel and the seals are made of EPDM rubber or similar. Both appear to be well made. Installation was very easy. This time I also used silicone grease (designed for this purpose) to lubricate the friction surfaces between the seals and the cartridge and faucet O-ring.
