🟨 10 Pack Replacement Yellow SPOUT CAPS for Blitz Gas Can - Self Venting Aftermarket Top Hat Style (SPOUTS NOT Included) Review

I have several 5 gallon red gas cans that I have used for years. One by one the little yellow caps kind of fell off and disappeared after numerous trips to and from gas stations. I've seen these replacement caps at Revain and often bought a pack. They arrived quickly and fit perfectly. I replaced 4 and hold the rest until the bandit strikes again.

Ordered to replace missing gas caps for my gas cans. They don't fit perfectly and prevent the cap from dropping far enough to catch the clip on my tank nozzles. The inside of the cap needs to be slightly deeper so it can rest on the nozzle. I can't stand the dum-dum kits that come with new gas canisters. Aside from the installation problem, it gets the job done by preventing the gas from evaporating from the can.

As others have pointed out, they don't push far enough to snap onto the flash spout. Luckily they are tight enough to stay safe. I've also found them to work well with other brands of spouts as well, again using only friction to stay secure. For the price, it's great value, but making them a little deeper for them to snap in seems trivial, so I had to deduct a star for that.

These are tight, but they DO NOT CLOSE because the line on the spout intended for locking with a latch does not reach the latch. I would give them a "2". To be honest my banks are several years old and may be suitable for newer banks. I'm keeping them as they were only $6 with change and while they don't lock I think they will. Unfortunately I can't recommend it. Maybe trim the spout 1/8 inch to secure the lock. Too much work.
